about: Peter Comitini

Peter ComitiniAs a Vice President with The Corcoran Group, Peter Comitini is a top producing sales broker of luxury Manhattan homes. He's a member of Corcoran's exclusive 'Multi-Million Dollar Club' and was recently cited as ranking in the top 1.6% of the 61,000 NRT real estate professionals nation-wide. Bruce Zipf, the President and CEO of NRT, Corcoran’s parent company, noted that it is “a special achievement by any measure”. It is Peter’s emphasis on client service, effective communication and innovative marketing, which separates him from the crowd. His business is built on the referrals of satisfied customers.

His market knowledge extends from the downtown neighborhoods of Tribeca, Soho, Chelsea, Greenwich Village, and FiDi, to the uptown enclaves which surround Central Park, on Manhattan’s Upper East Side and Upper West Side. His Brooklyn roots also permit him to speak intelligently with clients considering a move across the river to Brooklyn Heights, Cobble Hill, Park Slope or any of the other beautiful Brownstone neighborhoods there. Peter represents luxury co-op and condo apartments, townhouses, mixed-use, and small commercial buildings. It is that sort of breadth and depth of experience which gives clients a special edge when buying or selling property. They ask Peter to handle some of the biggest transactions of their lives; creating value impacting their net worth for years to come.

"There are few moments in life when the stakes are as high, financially and emotionally, as when buying or selling property.
At such a crucial time, you deserve a person who listens carefully, understands your expectations, and has the skills to delivers results"

When marketing properties, Peter showcases them using a package of marketing, staging, and graphic design services that are unique in the industry. It is where real estate agency meets advertising agency, producing boutique marketing programs which highlight the highest and best use(s) for the property. He's often successful in obtaining publicity on client work and is featured in the press frequently. In short— he leverages a well rounded knowledge of the marketplace, with highly evolved offerings in sales, marketing, strategy, technology and design, to produce results that delight his clients. He also publishes the highly informative and well read real estate blog which bears his name here at comitini.com

Peter is a native New Yorker who calls Tribeca home; where he contributes his energy to help improve the quality of education for kids at PS234 through committee work with the PTA, and on New York State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver’s 'Task Force on School Overcrowding'. He was unanimously chosen to represent his colleagues on Corcoran's 'Technology Advisory Council'; and a member of the Real Estate Board of New York. Prior to joining The Corcoran Group, Peter created compelling communications, branding and technology experiences, as founder and Creative Director of LiveArea. His design work in interactive and printed media is widely published and represented in the collections of the Cooper Hewitt Museum and the Denver Art Museum. He's also held top creative positions in News and media powerhouses such as Newsweek, NBC, and HBO. He's been a Vice President for the American Institute of Graphic Arts, NY; and was an adjunct Professor of Design at the School of Visual Arts for a decade. His professional odyssey is one where interests and opportunities have synthesized into diverse expertise. It informs his work today in building an innovative real estate practice that strives to provide exceptional client experiences and industry thought leadership.

history of the corcoran group

Peter brings to bear the incredible resources of The Corcoran Group to his client's business. For over thirty years Corcoran has exemplified a steadfast commitment to service, creativity and hard work. The company was founded by Barbara Corcoran in 1973 as New York City began an historic transition from being a market predominately composed of rentals to one of individual ownership. Corcoran grasped the implications of this change by concentrating on higher-end properties. Always striving for innovation, in 1995 The Corcoran Group launched one of the first real estate websites, corcoran.com. Today, it is an award-winning industry resource, attracting 4 million visitors per month and producing more sales than any other website in residential real estate. We also have our own outstanding Relocation and Corporate Services Division dedicated to helping individuals, families and relocating executives move in or out of all of our key markets. After the acquisition of major real estate companies in Manhattan and Brooklyn, today Corcoran ranks as the largest residential real estate firm in New York City. Beginning in 2003 the reach beagan extending into other key luxury markets, acquiring leading firms in both the Hamptons and the Palm Beaches. Today we boast a total of 50 offices and almost 2,000 agents. In 2008, Corcoran agents generated $16 billion in total sales.
